What to Do If Your Flight is Delayed - Parking Tips

3 min read

Flight delayed or landing late at Heathrow? Here's what it means for your parking booking and how to avoid extra charges.

Meet & Greet and flight delays

Most Meet & Greet providers track your flight automatically, so if your flight is delayed, your driver will adjust your car's return time accordingly - you usually don't need to do anything extra for short delays.

For longer delays (several hours or overnight), it's a good idea to contact your provider directly using the details in your booking confirmation, so they're aware and can plan accordingly.

Park & Ride and flight delays

If you're returning to a Park & Ride compound, call the car park's pickup number when you land (the number is in your booking confirmation) rather than at your originally planned time - shuttles run on request, so a delay simply means calling later.

Will a delay cost you extra?

Most bookings include a buffer for normal flight delays. However, if your trip overall runs significantly longer than booked (for example, an extra full day), some providers may charge a small additional fee for the extra time - this varies by provider and is outlined in their terms at checkout.

Our advice

If you know about a delay before you travel, or while you're away, contact your parking provider directly as soon as possible - their contact details are in your confirmation email. As a booking platform, we recommend dealing with the provider directly for any day-of-travel changes, since they manage the live shuttle and driver schedules.
